  • Eddie Ayyash. Economic Policy. 22 September 2010. "Although it seems like this recession will be around for awhile the recovery is possible. Aggressive government intervention, hard work and commitment of our politicians and business leaders is what it takes. . . . * Allow the Bush tax breaks to expire and replace it with tax breaks for lower income Americans since that is the class that needs the most economic help in this current recession. * Create laws that will limit the outsourcing of American jobs and exporting of our technology to other countries, since these countries will use our technology to compete with our businesses globally. * Stimulate economic growth by boosting government spending on long term investments which may include renewing and re-building our infrastructure(High ways, Bridges, Sewer and Water lines), Fiber Optic Communications Networks, Renewable Energy Sources, and Education." • Eddie Ayyash. Education. 22 September 2010. "To reform our education system : * Provide our children extracurricular activities and after school programs that promote the learning process, and opens new horizons to learn in a fun and interesting environment. *Reduce the number of students in a classroom by hiring extra teachers when needed will help the children get more attention from their teachers and give them the chance to get involved more in the learning process. *Provide better security in troubled schools to eliminate the threat of bullying and student on student violence, and enforce a no drug zones policy on school grounds to keep drugs out of our schools. * Establish higher federal and state standards and conduct periodic testing for students to determine the student's level of proficiency in the materials taught. * Many college students graduate owing tens of thousands of dollars in student loans that become hard to repay especially for a new graduate with no experience at a starting level job. Those new graduates deserve to get a head start especially when they start their careers. We can't allow the student loans to hold them back and stop them from advancement. We need to lower the interest rates to the minimum possible and give students amble time to make their payments." (ayyashforcongress.com)
  • Eddie Ayyash. The Environment. 22 September 2010. "*We need to commit ourselves to reduce electricity consumption and create the means to do it. *Give incentives to farmers who grow Bio fuels to reduce our independence on foreign oil. *Promote a speedy transition from dirty fossil fuels to a more clean and renewable energy sources such as solar and wind. *Encourage community planning policies that will increase a clean energy transportation options such as public transit and passenger rail systems. *Provide tax breaks to home owners to become more energy efficient since energy efficiency is the least expensive, easiest, and fastest clean energy option." • Eddie Ayyash. Immigration Reform. 22 September 2010. "In the United States of America there is an estimated 12 million undocumented "illegal" immigrants. As Americans we can no longer ignore this issue. They're parents, brothers, sisters, and sons who live and work among us, they have kids and families, they have jobs, and they spend money in our businesses. Simply they are part of our communities. A plan or a path to give those individuals a chance to become legal is needed. I envision a plan that will create a new status in our immigration law to which they can apply for. After being on that for a period of time and keeping a clean criminal record and a full time job, then a path to apply for adjustment of status and later to become a resident will be available. America is a melting pot of immigrants. Immigration Reform is needed to give everyone a chance to live the American dream." (ayyashforcongress.com)
  • Eddie Ayyash. Economic Policy. 22 September 2010. "Withdraw our troops from all war zones since these wars became a huge economic burden on American tax payers. Since September 11th, 2001 the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have cost us over a trillion dollars, and that price tag will continue to increase as long as we are in a war with no ending in sight." • Eddie Ayyash. Foreign Policy. 22 September 2010. "To me, our greatest challenge is the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Regardless of the reasons why we went to war in these regions and besides the miscalculations and wrong intelligence that was used to launch these wars, I stress the fact that America can win these wars. The facts on the ground show that any premature withdrawal of our troops will create a power vacuum that will benefit only the enemies of freedom and democracy. Our approach to winning this war should be based upon our basic values and principles : Democracy, Freedom, Equality, and Unity. Our understanding of and commitment to these values will make us liberators, not invaders. This war will never be won using our arsenal of weapons and arms of destruction; violence will create more violence. We can bring our brave soldiers home much sooner, preserve the region's stability, and achieve our short and long term goals as well as protect our interests in the region by giving this war a new dimension. We must truly fight terrorism and its sources. not the people of Iraq and Afghanistan. We must build bridges of clear and transparent understanding between them and the American people. We should conduct foreign policy in a way which unquestionably fair to the entire world. We should be a model of fairness. That is how we can remain the greatest nation and the beacon of liberty and democracy." (ayyashforcongress.com)
